Heritage Open Days
Heritage Open Days are an annual celebration of England's architecture and culture that allows visitors free access to historical landmarks that are either not usually open to the public, or would normally charge an entrance fee to visitors. It also includes tours, events and activities related to architecture and culture.
Guildhall Cells and Tunnel tour
This year, The Guildhall, Salisbury will be open for tours of the prison cells and lower tunnel (an area not usually open to the public) on Thursday 13 and Friday 14th September. The free guided tours will be given by Blue Badge Guides at 10am and 2pm.
The Guildhall will be open of the public as normal on these days, however will also open the prison cells and lower tunnel for tours on these days. Please note: There is limited access to the cells and tunnels due to the tour including narrow steep stairs.
All cells and tunnel tours must be booked in advance due to limited numbers, please do so via the following links:
