Charter Fair

The Salisbury Charter Fair will return to Salisbury’s Market Place & Guildhall Square.

In 1227 - seven years after the building of Salisbury Cathedral began - King Henry III granted a Charter to the Bishop of Salisbury to hold a fair on the third Monday in October. That same Charter granted the City permission to hold a market every Tuesday. Both Charter Market and Annual Fair are still held to this very day.

The fun packed fair will showcase a great variety of rides. Visitors can enjoy the thrill of Orbiter, the spooky ghost train and fantastic views of Salisbury on the Big Wheel. There will also be fair favourites including dodgems, hook-a-duck, waltzer and many more.

50p off vouchers for all rides can be collected from Salisbury Information Centre in Fish Row.

The Charter Fair will take place on the following dates:

Sunday 14 October from 4pm until 9pm
Monday 15 October until Wednesday 17 October from 11am - 10pm
