Simon was born in Salisbury at home on Bemerton Heath. His family then moved away from Salisbury returning in the early 70’s when Simon then studied at Bishop Wordsworth’s School before taking a degree in Botany and Zoology at the University of Wales. After University he married his wife Gill (a Salisbury native) at St Martins Church- then moving to London and then North Yorkshire following a career as a brewer.

Since returning to Salisbury he has held a number of roles in the Brewing Industry in various locations including a spell in Edinburgh as the UK Manufacturing Director for the UK’s largest brewing company.
