Jeremy and his wife Sue have lived in Salisbury for 32 years and have 4 daughters all were educated at Salisbury Schools. He spent 23 years work for the NHS both in the UK and in Denmark, 16 years of which were at Salisbury District Hospital and he was involved in the design and the logistics of the move from the Old Infirmary, Fisherton Street to Odstock.
Since leaving the NHS he has been working for a number of top technology companies specifically in healthcare in Europe Middle East and Africa, the last 5 years working with the NHS on the digital transformation programme.
Jeremy in not new to being a Councillor, he has been involved in Politics since the ‘noughties' serving as Vice chair on Planning, deputy Portfolio holder for Housing and Community as well as being the 744th Mayor for the City of Salisbury. He has served on the City Council before where he played an active role in the initial 'Transfer of Assets' back to the City Council, after the devolvement of Salisbury District Council to Wiltshire.
He is a keen supporter of the Third sector, and is currently Trustee at Turn2Us a national charity that helps people in financial hardship gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and support services. In addition he is a non Foundation Governor at Bemerton St. John Church of England Primary School.
Jeremy is semi retired and enjoys walking, sailing and golf and is a keen bridge player too!
